i was lucky to be married to a woman who is a computer programmer and has been able to support us and our daughter that just finished her 3rd year at the University of Arkansas.We are in Dallas County and have spent most of my 60 years in that area.

bust  that was more minor.... then the grand daddy of them all 08 GFC... were much bigger and capable investors than myself lost it all... was a sad time really.in GA 450 banks went under... those mainly local community banks owned by the locals.. sad deal those things. but here we are and things are good again so its make Hay whilst the sun shines.. but like I tell most folks RE to me is not a job its a lifestyle... and retirement is something I will do when I can no long function either physically or mentally  :)  I have no desire to be retired.. or stop investing or working.I really dig what I do.. almost all my business partners and vendors are late 20S to early 40S I just love seeing them take off and being able to help them with their business's...

I am confused as you can see from my writing but I hope to have an answer to this question, to be more clear about the story, I am trying to search for a Multi family, move in, rent the other units hopefully if the numbers are accurate I will positive cash flow, as I am starting out and don't have enough money I wanted to do FHA loan, my father in law wants to buy duplex and let us move in one of the units and he lives in the other so I had an idea he can  help his daughter with the down    paymnet make the monthly mortgage less and get four-plex he lives in one for free till the money he potentially gives to me been collected and then he pays rent and I live in one unit and rent the other two so I wanted to know about this tax question to see if I can include this pros in my future presentation to him or nothank you all!!

It is my understanding that due to the stigma, and "not in my backyard" mentality, zoning laws in and around most towns and communities make it very difficult to develop new MHCs.
