Why anyone wouldn't have over a bank statement, but would be ok with handing over taxes is beyond my comprehension, unless they are hiding something.

Obviously if the agent has been doing their job (which I doubt based on the fact the listing is priced at full retail while in need of repairs and has not had an offer after this long).The seller gets to approve the list price and also gets to authorize any price reductions.

I would presume the Agent reviewed the results of the background checks with you to get approval for the tenants, unless you have given them authority to make those decisions.
