I found a very distressed property just around the corner from where I live that just had a "For Sale" sign go up with an agent attached.

And then call the city to see if this is even allowed where your house is located. 

You could be in a spot where you won't qualify for VA financing at all going forward. 

I do not know where to start.I have been talking with mortgage brokers to see about buying a condo in Manhattan.

But it does beg the question—where did the rehab dollars go?
