It depends on the specifics and I'm sure a lawyer could point out some technical inaccuracies in what all of us have said, but I believe this is a legitimate avenue to explore to address OPs goals.  

Goal is to move out and find a quieter peace of land and use this house as a rental.

My goals are indeed centered around asset protection, streamlining bookkeeping, and boosting the professionalism and credibility of my real estate endeavor.Would you suggest any particular considerations or questions I should bring to an attorney to make the most out of this consultation?

Of course you should vet the potential GP to make sure they have the wherewithal and bandwidth to execute the project correctly and in the most timely manner as possible.

I assume that (for now) you are most comfortable with small projects since you said Handyman.Getting bids will suck a lot of your time away from your main investment strategy.
