Deciding Between ZenBusiness Packages and Local Attorney for LLC Formation

Hey everyone,

I'm at a crossroads in deciding how to form my LLC and could use some insights from the community here. I've considered using ZenBusiness or consulting a local attorney for the formation process. Here's the breakdown of costs and services I'm considering:

ZenBusiness Options:

  • Starter Package: $0 plus state fees. This is their most basic package.
  • Pro Package: $199 per year plus state fees. Includes added features like worry-free compliance and faster processing.
  • Premium Package: $349 per year plus state fees. Comes with all the bells and whistles, including a business domain and website.

Local Attorney:

  • An all-inclusive flat rate of $1,500 would cover personalized legal advice, ensuring all my paperwork is in order and potentially helping me avoid legal issues.

I'm balancing cost-effectiveness with ensuring I'm setting up my LLC correctly. The ZenBusiness Premium package and the local attorney are the two options I'm most strongly considering, given that they offer the most comprehensive services.

On one hand, ZenBusiness seems like a streamlined, cost-effective way to get things rolling, especially with the added features of the Premium package. On the other, the local attorney, while more expensive upfront, could offer more tailored advice and peace of mind, knowing that a professional is handling everything.

Please share your experiences, suggestions, and any questions you think I should be asking either ZenBusiness or a local attorney before making my decision. I am looking forward to reading your responses!
