The flip side is that some will even "reward" you for having a low DTI where they may not require reserves at all.  

It is all a game of probabilities and risk reward balance.

This is a business with it's own unique challenges and difficulties, but seems to be ultimately rewarding, as you mentioned in your last post.Glad to hear that you expect to come out on top!

Weigh your risk/rewards, and consider if living with 1-3% interest in a high-interest savings fund is worth having the money available to you when you are ready to buy.

That 14% is very likely much better net return to the IRA than a comparable non-leveraged deal with a similar balance of risk/reward.
