Our tenant on FB posted nothing but positive, feel good family photos, uplifting quotes, and stuff like that. 

We've always had the dream of real estate investing but it seemed way too out of reach (still feels a little scary), but I have read a few real estate investing books and feel hopeful and excited to start down the REI road.We live in north county San Diego and are looking to invest out of state, likely the Dayton, OH area.

I’ve had this itch to get into real estate for a long time, but everytime I start to dip my toes in I get the feeling that with prices/rates where there at it’s hard to justify pulling money from risk free 5.5% ?

I prefer the old style arcade consoles over a TV/X-box setup because of the ambiance and old timey arcade feeling, but that might be just me.And yeah, paint the floor and walls bright and colorful and throw in a mini-split.

Even a 10% PM fee would bring the cash flow down to zero.Q: Why not rent the midterm as a traditional rental, with a property manager?

We are keeping it for two more years (refinancing now), to see what a five year window brings before we pull the plug and stay local.
