You can ABSOLUTELY use your VA loan more than once, AND you can have more than one at a time as well. 

I remember a specific legal case which required the investor/buyer to pay back a homeowner $100k's in their lost equity, as well as forfeit all the monies the investor put into the house repairing it etc., and their was probably additional restitution they had to pay as well.
