Not adding any additional living space, just dividing the two units, putting a kitchen in one of them, and probably not having to add a bathroom to either unit.  

Specific to me FF does not allow you to block the calendar in the future.

I'm a 20+ year landlord with a single family rental in San Diego County.

I'm not looking to buy more until cap rates from rents (on properties that aren't more than 20 years old) are higher than CD rates. 

I'll give it to the end of the week to try to work with them as we've been trying since July but then we're going to have to move forward, if we're going to make our deadline.

But, if they are flippers/rehabbers, investors, property managers, I could see that being a benefit.And I would certainly be looking at flight options into either market, as I couldn't imagine putting hundreds of thousands of dollars into investments in a market with visiting those investments at least a couple times per year.
