Attempted to rehab house to turn into rental.

I’m currently reading “Rental Property Investing” by Brandon Turner and started listening to the rookie podcast everyday.

A faux wood look with an almost black or dark grey siding would help distract the eye.But, all of this costs money, and typically beyond some cleanup and fresh paint, on a rental is the best bang for your buck.

Hi All - Looking for my next investment move and considering diving into the short-term rental market.

BTW if the property doesn't work as a rental than it doesn't work as a lease option either.

We had someone get a ticket and pulled the carts for the rentals, probably cost us between 5-10% of total revenue but it was more important for us to keep our carts than not have them for an extended period.$2 mm house or not you will have headaches with carts regardless and in our experience it's just not worth the hassle.my recommendation is work a deal with a local place you can refer them to and get a small referral fee from.

My problem is that I believe people when they tell me things.My solution is to use an employment agency. 

You can rent long term, but short term rentals would be hit or miss. do some homework on that market.

Some background I am retired and sold down some of my highly appreciated rental business assets in early 2024 and I will have around 1/2 Mill Capital gains for 2024 taxes.
