I will agree that your spending power over the time you are contributing $100K to your Roth is reduced by the amount of taxes you will have to pay on the contributions, but I do not agree that this is reflected in a reduction of the value of the Roth contributions.The second fault I have with your example is the taxation on the Traditional IRA.
