I know people who invest in the "hood" and kill it and others who invest in the higher middle class areas and see small returns but have tenants there for over a decade.

If you are looking at your standard middle class home, it is probably still wiser to buy.

Plus, living and working here, I know that area, and I know no one lives there that can afford to live elsewhere, which is not how you'd describe a true A-class neighborhood.
