The more I learn the less I know.As I designed my first batch of postcards (3000 of which will be going in the mail this Friday) I realized I knew very little about the psychology behind getting a consumer to pay attention to my message long enough to get it across.Can anyone recommend any good blogs/books/websites/online classes/audio books/mentors centered around direct mail?

Just closed on a deal Friday with a seller that cussed out me and my partner on multiple occasions, called randomly late at night while she was drunk to call us criminals, tried to sell the house to another investor while we were under contract and then at closing brought a fishing license as her form of ID.And just like you I'm going to sell the property and put an easy $10k in my pocket.

I send out on Friday so it lands on Monday/Tuesday at the latest.

Hey Ryan,I spent $260.00 for 7 days/Friday+Sunday with the Sun-Times/Tribune.I managed to get 2 phone calls off a basic we buy house adBoth older people from the South/Southwest Suburbs 1st was a fellow investor asking if I had any deals he could look at and the 2nd one managed to be a burned out landlord who had a tenant who was leaving.... which I managed to sell to the first investorTurned out pretty well...

However, if you put them out on Friday night and pick them back up on Sunday night, you'll probably be fine.Direct mail works - but it takes time.
