Buffalo is a good area to invest, but you need to watch out how much risk you are taking on.  

Given the current market take your time and watch, listen to podcasts, youtube, educate yourself, and watch targeted markets you like to learn price points in those markets.

@James HamiltonIt took me a year attending REIA meetings and watching others before I felt like I knew enough to get started.  

Staying in a property, watching your equity grow in that property, loses you money with every dollar of gain in that equity.
