@Emily Beatty After experience investing in both, I personally prefer Lexington primarily due to my thoughts that it has a better future than Louisville but both markets have great investments out there.

I have experience with commercial construction loans and cash-out refinancing after construction completion, but no experience with refinancing raw land yet.

We have chosen distressed properties because of our past experiences and are comfortable examining properties that need help.

I wouldn't look at fix and flip for 100+ year old properties I'd recommend urban infill new construction much more control less stressful more advanced more value easier exit, etc etc 

As @Timothy Riley experience, your end may still be several months away.I would offer to rent a truck for them to move if they moved this weekend.

I think its completely free with smart tv. 

It will get you the experience without all the hard work of locating a property and it gets you in the game.
