The properties are actually in Maryland, and an order from the court has granted me and now forecloses the right of redemption, and orders that I be vested with an indefeasible fee simple title to the properties, after i pay the arrears. 

I am only interested in investing in facilities within a 20 minute drive from me, but I know there are a lot of self-storage operators making good money remotely by having kiosk systems in place.
