New to Vancouver Real Estate

Hi there, just wanted to introduce myself here. I stumbled upon this site from the research I've been doing on real estate. My plan is to purchase a home hopefully soon, something that is undervalued. I then want to renovate it, rent it out, then sell it in a couple years. Before I do this I want to learn as much as I can about the real estate game so that is why I'm here. I am looking to buy just outside of Vancouver, BC - areas I am looking at are the new up and coming places like white rock, richmond, abbotsford, and mission.

If anyone has any tips on getting started or know of any resources I can look at please feel free to share with me :)
