I teach software security and there are a few rules that are very effective in blocking spam:if you don't recognize the originator (sender) of the email -> delete it.regardless of the subject line, follow rule 1Good email software allow the user to classify known correspondents, move them to specific folders, and classify all else as junk.Email list systems such as Constant Contact are rubbish and a waste of money when an informed user follows rules 1 & 2 above.
