To me that is no different than when at a REIA meeting somebody comes up to you handing out a business card and then running off without saying a word - that's not somebody you want to bother with.

I just have never considered HELOC as an option probably because I was under the impression that it is like a credit card that you can only use in a certain place and when you do a cash advance, you'll have to pay fees.

About 2 weeks later I got an email from paypal that was like 'Sorry but the credit card company withdrew the funds and there was nothing we could do.

I hear ya, I leave the cards at home.

I would recommend bringing pen and paper, look professional, and bring professional looking business cards.
