Here's a few things I learned from MFIN that I think apply to the greater BP community• Multi-family and large investors are in the SAME BOAT that we are in as small-time investors.

Hopefully you kept the deposit to cover the costs as that is likely all you'll see.

It's not uncommon for our clients to find the time frames a bit intimidating on their first 1031 exchange.

Investing in Columbus, Cleveland, Akron, and Cincinnati in properties 3+ bed, 1000+ sq ft, cosmetic rehabs for long term rentals.Hey David, I moved to Columbus a few years ago (from Portland, Oregon which was super expensive) to become a full time real estate investor, and ever since, I've completed quite a lot of BRRRRs, flips, and own a successful rental portfolio here in Columbus Ohio.

There should be questions about the rent amount, due date, lease expiration, security deposit, who pays utilities, and who owns the appliances, at least.

I'm open to thoughts on where to invest or other potential methods for a first timer. 

If I refinance, I can wait for a few months to see if the rates go down, but that would mean that each mortgage payment I make would benefit my ex as he gets half the equity in the home at the time of selling or refinancing based on an appraisal.

Would you charge damages from the security deposit?
