@Scott Morongell  It is interesting how the Trulia crime map frequently contradicts the FBI crime maps which is based on data collected by the police departments in indianapolis. 

I'd go as far as saying that even a mediocre GC shouldn't have those kind of situations.If the house is burning down, they will call the fire department.

In NJ 3 or more units requires state registration with the Department of Community Affairs, which requires inspections from the state and other fees payable.

I don't work in the "asset protection" or "foreclosure" department, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if one of their services was keeping property taxes current on properties where the borrower isn't.
