HUD has declared there won't be any contracts renewed or initiated as on February 1. The department doesn't have the funds to due to the government shutdown. This is a catastrophe and will have a significant impact on the market and the economy. How are you guys preparing to not get paid for your section 8 properties?

I read it as 1,150 contracts with housing providers is 5% of the total. Therefore, there are 23,000 different housing providers under S8. If there are 1,200,000 families getting S8 funding, the average S8 provider has around 52 units. I suspect that many S8 providers are large corporations that have thousands of units or individuals that have multiple units and know the system. Few people probably have a single S8 unit.
