Purchase price: $400,000 Cash invested: $200,000 Bought this fixer upper 2 family house with 2 bed 2 bath and converted it to a 4 bedroom 2.5 bathroom with finished basement.

Purchase price: $60,000 This was our first home.

I was surprised by this because I thought the seller paid for all commissions/fees on a real estate sale/purchase.

Can you please advise me on how to purchase an out of state home where the owner has a reverse mortgage on it? 

Hi Mary,It is true the lender will not usually give you the rehab funds in advance, but this does not mean that you must complete all of the rehab out of pocket.
