Kings Mtn is in the process of building a casino and I felt the property values would significantly increase due to the influx of population.

In regards to the financials you could ask locals if they are run like the ones I’ve experienced in MN and Vegas.

I've thought about vacation rental (nearby beaches and casinos) or student rental (nearby colleges) as well, tho neither option is very appealing.

They have an owner conference coming up next month (Fed) in Las Vegas.

IN Amits case SF bay area its an asset and a stellar one at that.Most cities in the mid west and rust belt its a liability like one person said.. just depends on where our market went after the Great GFC.. same could be said for those that bought at the top I vegas Phx..

I want to rent units for short term leasing in Las Vegas NV and Riverside CA. 

In my Vegas stuff pools are an asset for sure and I suspect in Texas too.
