Thus I encourage you to analyze the competition and try using an opposite approach, however I am smart enough to know that this is not the only way, those bigger more seasoned veterans send the letters they do for one reason only, because they also work!

I thought that by hiring a veteran I would be helping someone get on their feet and make a name for themselves. 

I would prefer my rentals closer to Ft Drum as I am an army veteran so am very aware of the advantages to renting to military compared to section 8 or private.

At this point your pregnant (investment wise), and this thing has to work.So as veteran new guy, I suggest you do a few things:Don't trust your PMs. 

I often see that I make more with benefits from veteran status than I ever did as an enlisted soldier!

Congrats, I know every veteran investor I speak to wishes they went bigger faster, that is what I aim to do as well.
