REPLY: You don't :)As Jeff said you can find general info about a property but you will not find any info in the county records that says this home has equity - that would be nice though :)Equity is a funny thing and many on here may have an opinion but Equity on paper is the difference between what it is "worth" (lots of definitions of that) and what you paid (or owe).

Maybe it's paid with a stolen credit card.   

If and when I assume the loan, I can rent it out for about $2200, which will generate about $835, no HOA and of course I will save some of that for maintenance/repairs and other expenses. 

I've never seen such bad roads in such a nice expensive area.

I was born & raised here and it’s getting expensive.

I would expect a mild renovation expense about 8k.

Something they've likely paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for.

No major expenses aside from the day-to-day.
