Over the last 12 years, I've bought/rehabbed/rented around 24 SFHs in Concord, NC approx 25 miles NE of Charlotte.

Now for instance in North Charleston SC which was a tougher town.. they did build a magnet school that changed that city around I built 25 homes there and the values sky rocketed once that magnet school was built. 

Personally, I'd love a 1 bedroom cabin with a wood burning stove 40 miles up a dirt road that has limited winter maintenance and zero phone/tv/internet services .

A few things you should know about the market, Philadelphia is extremely block by block, my office is in Northern Liberties where there are 600-700k houses, and a short drive north, and your in the drug capital of the city.

Why I'm here: I have a few acres in the mountains of North Carolina with one heck of a mountain top view.

I haven’t started practicing with numbers nor the calculator on various properties.
