Yes; I would be happy to share a few different scenarios/ cases, including buying a duplex, living in one unit adding an ADU (auxilllary dwelling unit) on first floor (essentially turning building into Triplex) AND going through city condo conversion process which can add up to ~20% value to each unit and you can sell them off when the timing is right.  3.
