You wont want anything to distract you from schoolNow if someone was getting a liberal arts degree I would say quit school and focus on REI 

@Nate Hedrick I am a  synthesis chemist with advance degree, Real estate investor, and I am about to be an agent.

In the upcoming months I will be attending the University of Oregon to pursue my degree in accounting and eventually achieve my CPA.While I have been studying the biographies of many of the greats that have obtained financial freedom, real estate seemed to be one the major keys for these people to obtain their wealth.

I have a master's degree in finance, several years of financial management, and I am working on my cpa license. 

I have an engineering degree and have worked in the MEP industry for about 4 years.

(Very sad, the jobs here are terrible so I'm lucky for having no degree) I feel that I have gained enough knowledge to get started but I'm still not really sure where to begin?

Luckily I have just replaced the HVAC system last summer (Thanks 100+ degree Kansas heat) and the siding and roof are just a few years old.

My understanding is if I have a 4 year degree and majored/minored in real estate, I can bypass the 2 year agent requirement in CA. and take the broker's exam, which is fairly involved. 

There are a lot of deals out there with a much lower degree of difficulty.  

I am simultaneously going to attend college to pursue a degree in Accounting and a CPA.
