My leases generally state that snow removal in the common areas (driveway, common steps and common walkways) is the landlord's responsibility but any individual steps/walkways that are for exclusive use of a single tenant are that tenant's responsibility.

Not at REIA's - go to public auctions - meet real investors - talk to title companies - who is buying and selling lots of real estate - read your legal newspapers - look at who is advertising for properties.

It could be on the MLS, it could be on a auction website like auction.com or Hubzu, they might post notice of the property for sale or for auction in the local newspaper etc.

This newspaper article is making the rounds on Facebook in Maine. http://www.centralmaine.com/2017/01/07/elderly-cou...Basically, an elderly couple living in a derelict "camp" (camps in Maine aren't usually year-round) didn't pay their taxes for over 5 years and their property was foreclosed by the town and sold.
