This newspaper article is making the rounds on Facebook in Maine. http://www.centralmaine.com/2017/01/07/elderly-cou...

Basically, an elderly couple living in a derelict "camp" (camps in Maine aren't usually year-round) didn't pay their taxes for over 5 years and their property was foreclosed by the town and sold.  The buyer tried to work with them for a year to keep them in the property, but they refused to pay rent.  Now the governor is involved and wants new legislation to prevent this type of tax foreclosure.  Everybody hates the town, the buyer, etc.  There's even a sad dog story and the governor offered to take in the dog!   There's no way I would ever want anything to do with this type of situation.  I only buy vacant houses.  How about you?
