I already had a few issues with the contractor I pointed out and ask for discounts or refunds, but none were ever given, they just acknowledged my complaint.

it is important that the CPA has rentals and has a deep list of customers with Rental experience or you will likely miss out on several strategic deductions.  

This gives me a nice discount on flooring, plus I will look for clearance sales.

Admittedly, this is an area I need a crash course in -- if there are any resources you can suggest I deep-dive into, I would appreciate it.

It helps the experienced/knowledgeable ones come in and take over their mistakes for a discount.
