Should you rehab the basement for flooring and wall to nice showing for rental units or they are not really important that much for renterMany tks

Hello @Sergey Tkachev Property needs new flooring, baseboards, minor drywall repairs,texture, scraped ceilings, paint (3 tone inside, celling, walls, and trim), updated light fixtures, general cleanup of the yard, replacement of some dry rot, and a redo of the kitchen (small kitchen).Some of the work I plan to do myself and that will ultimately depend on quotes I get back from folks on the work.

All I did was paint the walls and clean the carpets!

For example, the commercial code requires fire and sound rated walls between units. 

I'm planning to swap out the washer/dryer for a kitchenette, install a sturdier door between it and the rest of the house (or wall it off entirely) and that's pretty much it.

No copper stripped from our units yet...Second, is that I can see the writing on the wall with where the city and other west coast markets are going.

I TSPed the walls up and washed them, and the top two layers of paint started coming right off as soon as I wet down the walls.

So a grey or light color wouldn’t show the scratches as much.

She wants to take down walls, choose lighting, choose tile, etc (all of this has been purchased and install is scheduled out).I told our realtors that we are not in the custom home business (I have no interest in that), and if the current unfinished state gives people walking through that customization is an option, I'd rather wait and not show it at all .
