Expand your thinking and research all possible motives people would have to seek a 1-6 month rental, furnished in your area.  

I would strongly encourage landlords to seek a permit to carry a firearm if they are serving eviction notices and other situations likely to generate negative reactions from tenants. 

Sometimes the property you are seeking might only qualify for a 15 year, adjustable rate mortgage.
