If someone trips and falls in a property owned by an LLC they typically can only sue the Owner which is the LLC and any assets it owns are at risk.It is best to make it difficult for someone to determine what you own.

Or sometimes meetings with city folks like last week had a sit down with the Public works department as we were scheduling a pre con meeting for a 27 lot subdivision I am building.Once quarter I take a road trip out east and visit half of my vendors that I fund fix and flips for ( I am not a HML) I only do Jv's with them I am a capital partner big difference. that's a week on the road..

come on.Permits in theory were based on a great idea, make sure work was being done properly and safely but as you eluded to with your "carpet pulling permit" most towns have turned them into nothing more than a cash grab....I do a great job on my rehabs making sure everything is up to par and in as close to perfect shape as I can afford to do, problem with that is, most of the home and fha inspectors feel the need to justify their fees or trip and then nit pick the crap out of me, I had thought about leaving one big hole in the entry way wall so they can say, "hey theres a hole, fix that" and leave the bs stuff alone.
