Based on the purchase price, I am assuming this house isn't that big. 30-50k for floor joists and bands seems ridiculous.

They buy homes that are too expensive, that have ridiculous HOA fees, that are in neighborhoods that demand certain extra expenditures above and beyond the basic costs of homeownshership.For instance, there are some neighborhoods in Pittsburgh where the average homeowner wouldn't be caught dead carrying an Aldi bag.
