It is clear there is a conflict of interest and he's not going to represent you properly.

It’s my choice and I want an independent inspector who is representing me “The Buyer”.  

As for the relator let her know what is important to you as a follow of course talk to the broker if you feel she is not representing you well but that doesn't do anything for you in this purchase. 

If they didn't, they could be stuck under contract for maybe a year or more.I represented a buyer a few years ago. 

Many builders probably want someone local on the contract too that is really going to represent you, not just give you a kickback for the commission. 

@Phil LoCicero talking politics only for the tactics....big BIG difference between a random low seniority representative and actual administration policy, so I would not worry about those literal proposals or anything close becoming law.

Many of my flips are hundreds of miles away or even outside of Texas and I usually list with a Realtor for this reasonI could see Zillow having a 9$ an hour foreign “ case worker “ or Zillow home representative “ walk the average person through it just like setting up a pc or satellite  tv service .

Upside: you can represent yourself on the buying side and have the seller pay you a commission or leverage a better price in lieu of a commission.

It could be more of a red flag if you don't claim it, because lenders will know you are not truthfully representing expenses.
