So, for example here, a car loan for $15,000 divided by the monthly payment of $650 gives us a CFI number around 23.

I don't have any debt obligations other than my primary mortgage and a small car loan and given the lower interest rates at the moment a cash out refinance to add $40k onto my principle would actually result in my monthly payment decreasing due to the lower interest rate. 

What's funny is that when I was buying a car, I declined the extended warranty and the salesman was asking me why and if I'd had a bad experience with extended warranties.
