If you're confident that you know what you're doing, don't need an agent to represent your interests, trust that you can negotiate as well as an agent, and can read/understand the contractual documents that go along with REO purchases, then by all means work directly with the listing agent.But, if you want or need someone to represent your interests and help you through the process, the listing agent won't do that for you.Personally, I think the best solution is to get your license yourself...then you have the information you need, and have advantages over those who have a buyer's agent AND those who go right to the listing agents.
