I have friends making significantly higher incomes in that region (late 20s/early 30s) who are not able to save a penny.Sounds like you have the discipline.

Or you can get creative with friends/family and BRRRR it.It really depends on how much work you want to put into it because it seems like your parents have already checked out.

After we accomplish that first goal we decided that we would take half a year off to spend it in California and Hawaii visiting family and friends.

They are very investor friendly. 

I happened to visit my friend in Denver this Mar and talked to a realtor and lender (first bank).

I would recommend 2x your current wage income in cash flow before retiring your wage job.I have a friend that has about 25 doors and was working a plan towards walking away and his company laid him off about 12 months early...he worked it out anyway, just less money saved, and now he continues to do new and bigger deals with partners.

So the guy I'm learning to wholesale from told me to call around my area for a title company and ask if they are investor friendly and if they do double closings, etc.
