@Rafael Ramon I do not, but in a pre Covid world I travel to CA a lot and also attend music festivals like Coachella.

I personally think this year will actually be great as travel demand slowly picks up, I don’t think supply of Airbnb’s (sewing that a lot closed their doors when Covid hit) will be able to catch up to the travel demand in time which will allow STR hosts to reap higher prices due to the supply and demand.

You can deduct any reasonable and customary business-related expenses for your rental business, including mileage, travel, meals and a home office. 

However, I want to set myself up for success via passive income real estate streams as fast as possible so if I want to work less, want to travel more and work part time, do charity work, side businesses, etc., I will have the option to do so.

Another alternative is to try furnished corporate rentals where you rent to traveling professionals for 1-3 months.

There are some other tenant pools that you can also target (Military, Student, Traveling nurses, or other contract-based workers).

I believe the better place to control the duct work is closer to the furnace, because it helps prevent the heated air from even traveling down the duct, to a closed vent. 

A single executive who travels may want a furnished unit BUT most luxury renters have all their own furniture and kitchen equipment.
