As an out-of-state investor, I wouldn't touch it.That said, if you live there and know the area I am aware of people who are making money by investing in the few pockets of Detroit that are doing well.

Frogive me if this has already been touched upon in a similar forum, but perhaps someone out there has some good insight...The REOs are just piling up out here in Southern California and the asset managers have a clear mandate to go no less than 90% of asking price (which keep getting lower all the time any way), so some deals seem to be 80 cent deals.

If you were in Lake Oswego Oregon you would need a city permit. and if they deemed the tree significant you could not touch it.really depends on the city and or county ordinances. check with your local planning department they will tell you if they have any jurisdiction.
