My houses use concrete block walls with furring strips nailed to then that then have the drywall applied on top of that.

My ideal property is one where some or all of these major systems behind the walls or hidden in utility closets are brand spankin' new, but all the cosmetic stuff (the easy and inexpensive stuff that you can see and adds the most value) is just awful, worn, dirty, dated, cluttered, and smelling of cat pee and cigarette smoke.

I'm not a 203k expert but I believe you can do them with 0 or 3.5% down....I live in an expensive market too one of the hardest things here is being able to do a non-major (no walls down, ect) renovation as required by the streamlined 203k, stay under 30k, and still get enough equity into the house.

I don't know why the wall is so thin, a wall shouldn't be less than 3 inches or so from another wall but the shower tile was only 1-2 inches behind the drywall from what I can see.

hello folksI just start my first house flipping project and really need some good/cheap tiling guy, painter, etc. the tiling quote I got is about $3 a sqft labor only. for painter, I got $4,500 quote for a 2 story 1950 sqft house for all walls, ceilings, doors and trims. are the numbers seem right?
