One thing you might do is sell your more expensive properties and buy less expensive ones. 

I've been buying and selling properties since 2019.

Why not sell it and try again at the new location?

About 1/3 were in limbo--neither rebuilding nor selling, while owners tried to decide what to do--sell, rebuild, or fight with the insurance company--or just didn't have the money to rebuild and didn't want to sell. 

The "retire off of real estate" crowd on the internet mostly spouts nonsense or has something to sell. 

If the business sells (it’s currently listed), the rent payments would stop, but I’d still own the property as an asset.

This property is being acquired at $79K per unit, a sharp contrast to comparable apartments in the area selling for ~$140K per unit.
