If you want to be an active real estate investor and roll up your sleeves to acquire properties and rehab properties then that's great.On the other hand, if you enjoy investing passively with turnkey rental properties and that will help you fulfill your goals then stick with that.A big factor here is TIME.

In reconciling competing views from the Ohio Appellate Courts, the Dombroski Court found it “necessary to modify the second prong of the Belvedere test to allow for piercing in the event that egregious wrongs are committed by shareholders” and held that in order to “fulfill the second prong of the Belvedere test for piercing the corporate veil a plaintiff must demonstrate that the defendant shareholder exercised control over the corporation in such a manner as to commit fraud, an illegal act, or a similarly unlawful act.”Whether an Ohio court will pierce an LLCs corporate veil is a fact specific inquiry that will vary from case to case.
