For instance, I painted our new house in order to get rid of the cigarette smoke smell. 

I've heard of roommate/shared living settings and dorms banning it though.I would ban smoking of any substance, including tobacco, marijuana, electric cigarettes, hookah, pipes, etc.

I can not go to the store without someone asking me either for spare change (it happens even in the best of neighborhoods) a cigarette, or do I know where they can get some drugs, so it was a bit of a let down to see a $995 price tag.

Her neighbors on both sides play loud music very loudly until late into the evening and they both constantly smoke marijuana and cigarettes, which are both items in direct violation of the lease agreement and the landlord does nothing to stop this behavior.

Cigarette smoking is banned in Federal Buildings, so I am guessing that he never smoked inside the oval office.
