Now seems like nobody will get them into trouble to sell their residences unless something catastrophically happen to their lives, financially, mentally.

@chris,To piggyback on what John is saying, you definitely need condo insurance to cover your belongings inside the walls of your condo (in case of damage or theft) as well as to cover for any catastrophes that occur that are not covered by your HOA.

If all your rentals are in one town, and a huge tornado/storm/earthquake or whatever disaster rolls through,  or the biggest employer in town leaves, etc. it could be catastrophic.  

Don't do something that causes catastrophic failure... 

Needless to say, one medical catastrophe could wipe out all my hard-earned investments. 

Barring a real catastrophe any interruption will be temporary and a good time to buy if you are positioned for it.  

If bitcoin is hacked and compromised, it would have a catastrophic effect and there is no government bail out program to help on that crash.Early investors have started exiting crypto currency.

There is no free lunch, so a day like Monday would've been catastrophic for margin folks invested in short volatility products.
