Health Insurance Dilemna
Hi folks,
I did it!
After investing in real estate for the just six years I now have enough income to retire without having to draw on my Social Security. In fact, I'm reaching the point where I need to retire due to my mother's declining health.
There is just one problem. If I retire at the end of the spring semester at 62 I will only have health insurance for 18 months via COBRA, then there will be another year before Medicare kicks in. What happens if I retire and then ObamaCare goes away? Mind you, I have all the usual middle-age pre-existing conditions. Needless to say, one medical catastrophe could wipe out all my hard-earned investments.
Those of you who retired early before ObamaCare how did you do it?
warmest, Susan
