I have three criteria for when I look to invest in any business - 1) I want to make a lot of money, 2) I don't want to spend a lot of time doing that and 3) I like businesses that are very simple - something I can easily explain to my wife and parents (and that's exactly why I lost money investing in Bitcoins!!

Fifth, they lost the difference between what they lent and what it sells for 3rd party, or through REO if it reverts back so yes, they do suffer losses.

Once a bankruptcy is filed, the owner no longer controls what happens to the property until the Trustee, the Court or the specific state exemption statutes decides it is no longer property of the bankruptcy estate.

Leasing agents not attempting to retain existing commercial tenants,owners/agents milking every cent possible from a lease and actually driving business outCommercial vacancies is a sure sign of declining economy, lost jobs and subsequent home foreclosures . . . its a good measure of the community economic health.
