In which case, your extra money might be better deployed into getting more deals.Actually, that would be my suggestion - pay the highest interest rate (for the ones above 5%) till you bring it to the point the principal/interest ratio is substantial (like 80%/20%) and then stop - the note itself will act as asset protection.

When a Lender, Apartment complex or Private Landlord sees a Lien or Judgment that says Smith Rental Properties, LLC, it's likely it will prevent the borrower or renter from obtaining the home that want to purchase or rent until it is paid or settled and removed.So often I'll see a judgment on a credit report that will be in a prior landlord's actual name like John Smith.

You'll need to bring at least 20-25% down for the construction loan and make sure there's enough income/assets on whoever is guaranteeing the loan - the existing mortgage and equity of the house will get rolled into the construction loan.
